Join the Weiss Bakery Team for the fun part of baking…DECORATING. We will do all the prep work and you will leave class with a delicious and beautiful cake plus the knowledge and confidence to make your own. Come with questions or just to relax and have fun. All skill levels are welcome. 25 spots available (6 attendees required to hold class). We will create a 6” two layer vanilla bean cake with a from-scratch berry coulis and decadent white chocolate mousse filling.
Class supplies provided:
· 2 baked vanilla bean cake layers
· Buttercream icing
· Individual servings of berry coulis, white chocolate mousse
· Sprinkles or other cake adornments
· All necessary decorating tools for use during class
· Hardcopies of recipes for you to use at home
· Tips on where to buy some of our favorite decorating ingredients and tools
· Box to take cake home
In this 2 hour class you will learn step by step how to create a simple and beautiful cake at home. We will cover the following concepts:
· How to stack cake layers and add fillings
· How to crumb coating cakes
· How to apply final icing coat and smooth
· How Simple buttercream icing techniques that look beautiful
Light appetizers will be provided. Cash bar available – beer, wine and alcohol. While water bottles are welcomed, we kindly ask for no outside food or beverage. If you have special dietary considerations please add a note when purchasing.
All sales are final and non-refundable unless class is cancelled due to lack of attendance. If you are unable to attend class, you may transfer your seat to another individual by emailing me at [email protected] at least 24 hours in advance of class date.
NOTE: All items are Peanut and Tree Nut-free but come from a kitchen where peanuts and tree-nuts are used.
Ages 13+ are welcome, although a seat MUST be purchased for each person in attendance. Guests younger than 16 must have a paid chaperone accompany them.
